Default light miss

im getting a light miss at 1500rpm, which is at the same rpm as my little voltage drop when you stay steady on the gas. the car will buck when you are feathering the gas down the street, and sometimes will idle after a hot start to 2000rpm and drop down very slowly. i was thinking its the walbro pump since its running without the hotwire kit and isnt getting adequate voltage. most everything is new ignition and fuel wise except the plug wires (******* taylors) but they arent arching that i know of. the exhaust smells like unburnt exhaust, so im thinking that something ignition wise isnt burning the fuel all the way during combustion. also itll feel like it isnt pulling much past 3000rpm. and lately i can notice the switch from open loop to closed loop when warming the car up when idling because itll idle smooth in open loop then you'll hear the engine get rougher sounding as it enters closed loop.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks yet? It seems like you have the bases covered pretty well. You should be making plenty of pressure even with out the hot wire kit.

I would for sure check those taylors. I thought mine were ok to until the other night I figured I would go look. Arching every where once it warmed up.

i dont hear any vacuum leaks, or have any revving when spraying carb cleaner around the intake.

i re routed my taylors the other day and checked. no arching at all.

i do hear my fuel pump buzzing on idle, and sometimes ill hear it skipping when buzzing.

What else have you done lately? Fuel fitler, O2's? Misses are a pain in the butt to find if there is no SES.

nothing else lately. i replaced the opti about 2000 miles ago, and the fuel pump.

i have noticed though that the exhaust reaks of unburnt gas. so im betting that the plug wires are breaking down when they get hot, or the coil is on its way out but its only 2 years old.

Seems like you hear more bad things with taylor wires than anything good. I have been running MSD 8.5 super conductor wires with my headers for about two years now and have not had any problems with them.

its wierd how when the car enters closed loop itll idle rough like it has a small *** cam in it.
