High RPM Miss
High RPM Miss I know theres a new one of these threads like every hour but it seems like every thread someone has a different answer for the same problem. My original problem was a hesitation around 5k. This morning I was late to work and low on gas so I didn't stop. Anyways the car didn't have enough gas to start so I had a coworker take me to the gas station. Got a gas can etc. After I put a gallon in then went and filled up I noticed that now when I hit it the car just completely cuts out at 5k. Someone please help I want the car ready to autocross by Sunday and I've missed the last 3 because of this damn car.
Check your fuel pressure at the rail as stated above.
Sounds like that fuel pump was getting weak, and then running it dry finally was the last straw. Running a fuel pump dry even if its newer is never a good idea.
