would it make a differance moding my Mids?

Default would it make a differance moding my Mids?

Hi all i'm juggling some thoughts around and was woundering if I could inprove my performance by buying two 4-1 collectors and cutting my mids collectors off and welding some new one in that are alot smoother transistion if you look at the pace mids it really short 4-1 collectors plus buying a 2-1 Y cutting the old one off and welding a new one in?

i'm rebuilding my motor so I have the time and can mock everything up and do a nice jobs sense its out of the car.

Ah I see you are in the dreaded state of CA. No longtubes have a CARB number I take it?

Doing that most likely wouldent be worth the time/money spent to do it. Mids arent bad, longtubes only make a little more but you can still have a nice setup using the mids. Getting rid of the cat (If you have one) would most likely net more power than putting new collectors on old mid tubes.

He's in CA, if he takes the cat out he will have to reinstall it every two years......

I wasnt saying he should, just saying that if he did.....

I seriously dont think it will make a difference, should just stay with the mids. Mids arent nearly as bad as most people make them out to be.

hmmm might do that

I'm looking into rk sports headers they look pretty cool and I don't think they will hang to low and I would only need 1-cat
visual inspection is not a problem where I smog at.

Cutout would seem like a good idea for you, since you can just cap it when not in use.
