power locks starting to not work??

I have a 94 Z (SS clone) with 165k miles on it and just recently my power locks are starting to fail and what I mean is one time they will work and the next time nothing. I do hear a slight mechanical or electrical noise coming from behind the right side of the glove box and that is when I'm using the key fob. Anybody have any ideas??

try the switches on the car, check the relays they can wear out, testing can be performed with a 12 volt cordless drill battery.

Switches are fine but didn't think of the relay, good thought! Is the relay in the dash or out in the engine compartment?
