same exhaust, but one is ALOT louder..

So my cousin and I have the same exhaust. Mid's, stock cat, lm1 catback. The only differences are I have just under 39k and he has 102k on his. My mid's are coated and his aren't. And his car is ******* loud compared to mine. Mine is a little louder now with headers but his got stupid loud.. Just wondering if you guys have any explinations for this....just confused us alot.

Gut the cat, disconnect the y pipe from the intermediate pipe if you will. Screwdriver (long), hammer, shopvac and about 20 minutes of your time to do a good job. I did it. Works just as good as test pipe. Just free.
