MAP unplugged ?
MAP unplugged ? I disconnected my MAP sensor thinking my car wouldnt run.run right in case someone tryed to steal it. well. i forgot that i had unplugged it and went for a ride, and it ran normally. my car even runs with the MAF disconnected too. is there something wrong that im missing ? or does this happen often.
Your car will just stay in open/ closed loop (i get mixed up with each one) meaning it uses a preset air/fuel mixture which is usually really rich instead of using your mass air flow sensor/ oxygen sensors etc. to get a perfect mixture. This is normal and many people refer to it as "limp" mode because the car doesnt run as good as it normally does but it DOES run.
