do u think a full sweep gauge is good enough to monitor our cars especially with nitrous or is there better with cost efficiancy

If I remember correctly, the way the air/fuel ratio is hooked up with the full sweep setup is pretty inaccurate. If you really want to know what your air/fuel ratio is your going to need to get a wideband with a seperate 02 to give you readings.

I could be wrong, but I remember not buying one for this reason (and just waiting for when I REALLY need a wideband 02 seperate, as they are fairly expensive).

Understanding how things work is pretty important in trying to have sucess on any kind of budget. Once you understand how the factory narrowband O2 system works you will understand why a narrowband gauge results in a light show.

Cliff's notes is the injection varies AFR between rich and lean to keep the Os crossing past 450mv which is 14.7:1 AFR the ONLY ratio where the stock O2s are accurate. It varies the AFR actross that point so it can tell the O2s are functional.

Narrowband gauges are useful in tuning carbed engines, that is all.

Yea, when I asked about doing this, it was the same thing :\ And after researching it a bit, I found some graphs of the voltage and what AFR corresponds to that, it turns out that at stoichiometric AFR it's a fairly steady voltage, but when it's above or below it the voltage change is so minimal it's hard to tell. I'd say between 14.5-14.9 you probably get an accurate reading, but that'll be it :\ See graphs:

Gotcha. I thought in your first post you might have been implying that they were useful, which was news to me.
