bbk 52mm question
used my scanner and my tps at idle is .91 a bit high
at w.o.t its 4.67v
iac was 40 and going down a bit
my idle was around 700 in drive and goin down a bit too
now i want to get rid of the whistle and get my idle to smooth out a bit more i reset it by holding throttle on for 10 secs with koeo then koer for 10 secs then off for 10 and start vehicle it seemed to get idle to be better but stilll a little surge. what are peeps doing for the whistle to go byebye and get the idle to smooth.
or will a tune get rid of all this and i can leave it the way it is and let the tuner fix it all.
You can get TPS and IAC right by drilling the hole.
start with 1/8" hole (same size as stock TB_). First reset TPS so closed it is about .67vdc and 4.5 vdc full open. Then drill the hole and scan IAC...they want to be about 32 (30-35). If the IAC is still to high drill 1/64" bigger NO MORE and scan again. On motors with more cam you may even need slightly larger hole...11/64" but take 1/64" steps. There is a big swing in IAC count in those incriments.
Remove TB each time to drill hole...or shavings WILL get in motor.
Sounds like it's actually be modded
I haven't slapped my 58 on yet, but I don't recall it whistling on my TPI setup.
