no metal...aparently oil doesn't go through coffee filters that well haha, used a magnet and nothing.

ok i started it again...oil pressure goes over the max for the needle and it knocks and blows smoke for miles but no metal in the oil?

i started the car with the gas and clutch to the floor and it wont rev past 2k and oil pressure is of the chart?

A backfire through the intake won't make your car "smoke for miles". However, a busted up ring land could take out a valve and that would cause "smoke for miles" and a backfire through the intake.

Bottom line is, if it "smokes for miles" it's "time to pull the engine"

I agree, and probably would not start it and try to rev it anymore, unless you like giving money to the machine shop.... lol.

i think it was smoking because it was loading up on fuel

if it wasnt smoking what would cause a popping in the intake?

Spun a bearing, blew a piston snagged a ring, etc.
My buddys clutch was so tight it was putting consant strain on the motor. So much, the one day he got on it hard it Blew the crank, took out the block, water pump, crank, pistons, rods, valves etc. Basicly Blown up like a gernade. The clutch had only been installed for less than 100 miles and when we pulled the trans the NEW clutch was toasted in that short time.
