You may have to re-flange the ends.. are you using a Line Wrench?

A Flange Tool to what you can use to re-flange the ends, it's a tool that you can rent from Auto Zone..
could be wrong about what type of flanges are on it, it's been a while since I have looked at Trannny Lines closely.

As far as what a Line Wrench is.. it looks like your standard open-end Wrench, just the ends have more meat to them and it has a notch for the Line to slip through.

Something similar to this..

Did you replace O-rings when you put it back in? The stock lines are easy to crack too. The shop that did my tranny cracked the cooler lines and left me spitting fluid for over a week.

I believe there are small o-rings on the end of the part that screws into the case. It's either there or they are in the hole on the case where the line screws in.

i had the same problem for a long time and i found out that some fittings have different thread patterns and as soon as i put just a lil bit of sealant and used my old fittings from my stock tranny that my lines worked just fine. but you have to be extremely careful about making sure they go in straight otherwise its impossible to stop leaking. I fought with those lines for months before i could get them to stop.

Use can use thread sealant, but dont use stuff like plumber's tape. They make a liquid thread sealant that is used just like locktite. It maybe trivial but I'm paranoid of excess tape getting in the lines and clogging something up. But in all reality it would probably be to small to mess anything up.

I bought some new brake line fittings and such from the auto parts store that I'm gonna try if pipe dope and thread sealant dont work on the stock lines. on a side note, those stupid things are a pain to get to unless you unbolt the crossmember and drop the trans down a bit. I just installed pacesetter headers and y pipe and i've got more clearance than with the stock exhaust, but i just cant get a wrench or anything up there to get a good bite unless the trans is lowered. it's 4am so I'll take the car out when the sun comes back up and see if it worked. otherwise its back up in the air..
