Quick Question about exhaust
Right now I'm running a Magnaflow Highflow cat along with my Mangnaflow 3'' cat back..my question is, would I notice or gain anything by eliminating the catalytic converter??

It's a high-flow cat that I would be taking off. I figured by taking it off that maybe it would give me a couple more ponies just wasn't sure or if it would be worth it or not.
Keep in mind that Portland has emissions laws.
You will fail a visual inspection if you don't have cats.

Tampering with emissions systems is illegal.. blah blah blah .... you get the point.

I probaly have the same cat as you and I stick it after my y-pipe when I have inspection. The car is a little louder at idle and a tad bit overall when its off but there is no power difference that I can feel at all.
eliminating the cat wil give you better hi end power but it will feel as if you lost a little bit torque.
A friend of mine put his cat in and he was able to chirp the gears but when he took it out he couldnt, but he noticed more of a pull on the top end.

I think you do cause I remember talking to you about it a while back. I'm not gonna bother with it.
WOW!!! that is a weak LT1 even if it did have "GOOD" tires it still chirp them...when i had my a4 with 2:73s with a power programmer i could chirp them going into second and of course first both with trac-control on..lol..he needed to have that lt1 checked out and man what a no no sticking an ls motor in his car!! thats no good..just became another one of those "lets act like our car is better because we have individual coils" poeple lmao..
but anyways good choice on keeping it...if if it is a highflow its not that much restriction on your motor anyways and def not worth the trouble to take it off and notice a whole lot of nothing

How badass would it be if we could gain that much just by cutting a cat off......damn. haha
But on a serious note. We have dbag cops that will lay down to see if we have cats here even when we DON'T have emission testing where I live. So hope you don't have any of those cops there.. I gotta rig up a way to make it look like I have my cat still on.. Enjoy the extra noise!
