weird problem after a/c compressor R/R

weird problem after a/c compressor R/R ok guys, i have a weird problem. Today i removed and replaced my a/c compressor with a new used one. The system has not yet been charged. Here is the problem. I refilled the radiator and started the car, waited for the t-stat to open up for circulation and put some more coolant in the Rad. I then put the cap on and continued to let it idle. Temps were ok and everything seemed okay. Then i heard water pouring. Looked in the engine bay and the coolant resivour was spewing. I opened the cap, there was no pressure, looked inside and could see no water. Also i noticed when i revved the engine a little bit the top coolant hose constricted. What the hell is going on? any help is much apreciated
