Default Which weight oil would you recommend with the cc306?

Trying to figure out which weight oil I need to put in. Im putting 10w40 in my ls1 with the RPM4 cam, but not sure what to use on the LT1. I have a bunch of spare 10w30synthetic. So I'm hoping that'll work?

Most people do not realize the 30 represents a viscosity RANGE not a precise measurement. There is also a lot more to oil than weight. One brands 0w-30 is a lot thicker than another's 10w-30, not a typo.

Whatever the 10w-30 is would likely be fine for both motors, but if you want to go out of your way to use an oil PROVEN to be about the best for both you need to look into 0w-30 Castrol Syntec specifically labeled "made in germany", is a very thick 30 weight and measured results show it to be one of the very best if not the outright best for both the LT1 and LS1.
