Default LS7 Lifters

Do the LS7 lifters fit the LT?? I have a project car I'm throwing together and these are the best bang for the buck I can find. Also, what valve springs and pushrods are good to go with for a mild cam swap?

they are actually what the dealer would give you if you asked for replacement lifters for your LT1, but then again the dealer told me something like 700 bucks for just lifters.

i found them online new and for like 250 and they were GMPP too haha

haha so maybe im thinking of the wrong time i went, i just remember them telling me when i went into the dealer and was trying to get a hotcam kit that they had to charge me like some crazy amount for one of the items i thought it was the lifters, maybe it was the springs or roller rockers? either way i remember them saying just one of the pieces needed for the kit would be 800, so i went and got all the parts individually, and i actually do think i got my lifters shipped to my front door for some where between 120-150.

Same physical outside dimensions, they work great in LTx and SBC engines

Curiosity question, whats the great thing about the LS7 lifters aside from the price?

They are very reliable and obviously were a proven and chosen product for the Ls7 engine. That is what's great about them.

True, but there seems to be a question of the depth of the pushrod cup. I've heard it's somewhat lower in the lifter, requiring longer pushrods to maintain correct valvetrain geometry...

The depth is definately different. The cups are much shallower, I am having to use a much shorter pushrod to have correct valvetrain geometry.

That is a good thing. A shorter push rod means less push rod flex.
