Default will I be dissapointed?

In January I had bought a rough 99 camaro z28 vert as a project. I ran out of funds and wound up selling the car in April. I really loved driving around in an fbody. I just found a LT1 trans am local with a rebuilt engine, clear title, and new transmission with only 6k miles on the new stuff for a steal at $2000 bucks. The car does need a new paint job. The guy seems pretty desperate to sell. My question is will I be disappointed with going from an LS1 to an LT1? My LS1 was stock and so is this TA. Both are A4's.

If you are not familiar with the LT or car savy, have it checked out by someone. If it turns out to be solid I would buy it. New motor and tranny is a big plus. Funny cause he prob spent a lot more to rebuild both then what he is selling it for. A few mods and the LT will be your new drug of choice

After a couple bolt ons I'm right next to the LS1 guys if not pulling them!

around town that lt1 wont feel any slower than your ls1 was especially considering the ls1 was a vert and lugging around a couple hundred extra pounds

the low end is strong with the lt1 and you wont really notice a difference unless you line up against an ls1 f-body

i'd bet you would be perfectly happy with it

The car has been in his family since it was new. It was given to him by his uncle and he's trying to dump it off to buy a 5.0 stang that is being sold that I was looking at as well LOL. I'm going to go check it out tomorrow and drive it. If all is good I will be posting up pics this week I got a nice shiny turbo that needs a new home
