Dieseling

I have a problem with the car running rich--but also dieseling which is the part that really annoys me. I'm not throwing a cell or anything but most of the time when I turn the car off it will continue to sputter just for a second or so after the car is shut off...Also the lights on the instrument cluster will fade instead of just turning off.

wow this is odd...have no answer for you man...has anyone done a motor/ harness swap in this car?

common with any cammed out car....very common...no fix for it either

ya i know it was an assumption i never sen a non cammed car do it at all...

but its impossible to keep firing once ignition power has been cut

no its not ive seen a untouched stock lt1 motor have the vac lines pulled off and the key out of ignition and it stay running...get them hot enough or too much fuel they will keep igniting on their own and stay running...NO JOKE

I've seen that ^ with the vac lines pulled and key off car turned over a couple times then died

By any chance do you have an aftermarket fan?
I ask because sometimes, the rotation of a fan will backfeed for a few moments if its not wired perfectly..

The fans aren't aftermarket but they are wired to always be on..its ghetto rigged too...I need to go through and fix that I guess.

^^Yea.. something is keeping current going through the car when you shut if off for a sec. More than likely it could be them Fans, but there are more possible things with you Car.
