I was gonna ask the same thing. looks interesting, but just too much freakin work when the opti works fine for what it is.

LT 1 w/ distributor in rear? I went with my buddy to look at a s-10 the guy said it had a 96 vette LT-4 in it but the distributor was in the rear like the old sbc. I think I saw something about this somewhere but can't remember. I know you can put in the front on the LS, but can you do it on the LT-1-4. It was a carb car too. Thanks for the input.
I'm pretty sure that when you "convert" an LT-1 to run with a carb, and consequently remove most of the electronic gear, you'll be putting a regular ditributor in it. And yes, it can be located in the rear.

Go to www.LT1intake.com They do the conversion and have all sorts of info about it on their site. You don't have to run a carb and you can still run it with the opti for an optical sensor. There's lots of different ways you can set it up.
