No you have to get them converted. A few have done it. I have a set of heads but do not have them converted yet

What is involved in the conversion, and what is a good brand of 18 degree heads to get?

edelbrock makes the best 18 degree castings. darts are also good, but stay away from brodix.

So what brand of 18 degree heads are we talking about? All the ones I have seen have runners to big for what I would call a street car. I'm interested myself.

I have heard the same regarding the Bodix 18 degree head. Better off with say the AFR.

i would go with the 9:1 compression GM performance parts 18* heads. they have 215cc intake runner heads unported, 60cc chambers and 0.080" deck height beside you can use stock headers with these GM 18* heads.

MindGame in www.camaroz28.com forums used the GM 15* heads (derived from the GM 18* heads) with modified GM LT4 intake manifold and did
540rwhp NA in a 383ci LT1 camaro but they have smaller combusion chamber of 48cc.

you know LE and AI make some good stuff.....i would give them both a call....you might change your mind about going with what you want right now....our cars are capable to run 9s with 23 degree heads...why would you go through all the trouble to convert everything

Some of us definately do

To build the 18x they cripped the side width of the port section. They are much more limited then the true 18* heads but are cheaper to use because they use standard rockers
