Hello Everyone Hello everyone, my name is Chris, I am a humble noob to your forum but I like what I have seen so far, I don't think I've even seen any trolls which is amazing.
For the past 14 years I have had the pleasure of riding in and occasionally driving Nikki
The Gorgeous Green Formula you see me standing next to in this image. She was my mother's car until my mother was called to Glory, and though I have always loved and wanted the car I didn't want to get it like this.
Time being what it is, the car is all mine and now I have the task of restoring her to her former greatness and beyond. She'd been sitting for a long time (years) with a poorly rebuilt A4 that knew only 2nd, and my mother did get the pleasure of driving her with the Professionally Rebuilt tranny the day before she passed. Now that she is mine, I am taking suggestions!

sorry to double post but I have a few questions now that I think about it.
What is the top speed like on an ungoverned lt1? is there a governor at all or do the gears stop you at 155? What's the story with traction control in my 95 firebird, can I turn it off somehow? what does it do?

A governor will mostly be dependant on what tires it left the factory with. One quick way to check is how high the speedometer goes, if it stops at 115mph, it is governed (108mph, fuel cut off, IIRC).
Both the limiter and the traction control can be eliminated in the PCM with a tune.
