How much boost on stock bottom end?

How much boost on stock bottom end?

I've got a fresh short block, factory, no more than bout 200 miles put on it this year, with a big cam and some heads, I'm thinking of throwing a turbo on it within the next 2 years, wondering how much boost I could throw at the already stressed bottom end before I build a short block....

its not really boost its power. you need a target power range.

You could prolly run 7psi or so for a few thousand miles with a spot on tune, before the rings go to

stock compression?.......Dont run boost. You will blow it up. Especially with heads and cam.

been running mine 9-10 pounds for atleast 6 months now with no problems,just need a good tune and a good fuel sytem and you will be fine.but then again i dont have aftermarket heads or cam.With those i probally wouldnt go over 7psi

I'm lookin to get a good season out of it with the nine inch and h/c set up, get some fuel and suspension upgrades along the way, then add some boost, then run it till it blows up while building a short block on the side to throw in once the stocker goes...
