Low Oil Light:Limp Mode?

Default Low Oil Light:Limp Mode?
We just installed a new oil pump in a friends car, and before that his low oil light would come off and on every so often...

Well while doing the oil pump we broke the low oil sensor causing the light to stay on obviously...

My question is will a low oil light cause a 93 LT1 car to go into limp mode?

Im pretty sure 93's dont have a limp mode as they do not have computer contoled transmissions.

my low oil light comes on every now and then aswell...shoudl i replace my oil pump?? my oil pressure stays high!
would the light cause my car to go into limp?? mines a 96

BlackTA96... The low oil light is just a sensor... just keep an eye on oil pressure for that oil pump...
