As you can tell, if you used the ZR1 version, you'd need to get the CTS-V's bell and tail shaft housings. Here's the MG9 (CTS-V) spec sheet and the MH3 (ZR1) spec sheet
Alternatively, for the 07 T56 MM6 RPO(Specs and Pic) handles 470ft/lbs. (06, and some 07 models like for ZR1 and CTS-V only handle 400ft/lbs, which is why I'm giving RPO codes).
The one I'm getting is Guaranteed with a 1yr Warranty to hold 700hp/700tq I believe, and it has Brass Guides for the 1,2 Fork and the 3,4 Fork, Steel 3-4 Fork, Carbon Fiber Blocker Rings, Billet 3-4 Keys, ontop of the fact that it's pretty much a brand new Transmission.
I would love to have the T6060 Ratios, but I think mine will work good for the low cost of $1950.

im tellin ya, your gonna have to buy certain parts regardless, like wiring, ECM, etc. I would honestly go pick up a 5.3 from a salvage yard for $3-400 and piece the rest onto it. Otherwise you can get a standard vette LS1 swung in there for cheap. I wouldnt worry about finding a LS6 or LS7, just get whats cheap and mod it later, youll be alot happier.

I've gone through 4 different builds.. it's the spinning down-shift when I get on it to pass someone..it'll break loose as it's downshifting, hit the tach a couple of times, then shift up, and then later the Tranny's comin apart..
Any Gen III Engine Longblock will go directly into that car without any modifications.
I'd build me a little LS1 383 Stroker and get a Cam in it, LS6 Heads and Intake, and tear some **** up..
