Cool, I'm undecided whether I'm going to run that class to. I need a bigger fuel pump and the funds just aren't there right now.

 

I hear you on the funds. I have everything I am going to have mods wise, just need to get the stuff finished and work lots of overtime to be able to afford nitrous, gas, and trailer rental.

 

Yes the trailer rental and hotel room is killing me right now so I'm coming with the same old tired setup with only minor changes.

 

If someone needs a ride from central or North (meet us on the route) Texas, shoot me a PM. Tony, Kyle, and I are convoying up together, but we had a couple friends who normally would ride with us not be able to make it this year. We might be picking up a staff member or two from Nitro Dave's, but at this point I have no passengers. All three of us have crew cab trucks and so far only the drivers (us) are 100% for sure going.

Lets keep this thread alive. There are a lot of reasons to attend this event great drag racing, great people, after racing party / tailgating and you could even get some magazine coverage if your lucky.

 

I know how you feel. My shortblock won't get started on until next week. The heads should be done soon. Without the flow numbers I can't choose a cam. As always, it will be a last minute effort for me.

And there are always other projects....

You guys that are undecided about going. You have no idea what you will miss if you do not make it. Out of all the races I attend the LTX is the one that I have the best time at.
Everyone is so friendly and get along that the entire group is involved in the weekend activties that take place after the fun day of racing. We normally all take over a restraunt and then find a bar/grill the following night after the race to take over.

I can not tell you how much fun we have...
Nothing like a weekend of fun with great friends with some good racing!

Got my car all back together!!!Took it out Sunday testing on motor,Seems to be running very well..Im going to test the spray Friday if all goes well ill be parking it till the shootout!!!

Im working on getting a trailer and Ill be going. No where near my goal I had for this time, but still should be a fun time.

Edit, got a truck and trailer lined up. Would like to do the 847 cam swap if I can get my hands on the parts in time. My th350 swap wont be done, so my stock convertor and trans is gonna kill me. Hopefully my cage is in by then along with my 4.10s

It will be my first time at the event, it's one of my bucket list items. Tonight I will be doing a "run-over" of my Z, changing the oil, changing a few things around, blah blah blah. Cannot wait to run. I don't even know what I run with my new set-up, but I don't really care, I will just run index and have (A LOT of) fun with it.

Trailering from the Detroit area, reserved my room for two nights, and I'm ready to go!
