Default t56 problems (probably rebuild time)

alrighty... so a short while after after getting my car, my reverse synchro started to go out (as far as i can guess). the car will pop out of reverse and i cant put it back in until rpms are low/after repumping the clutch; it also clunks when going into reverse some times.

well just recently, 3rd and 4th started popping out occasionally, and all of the gears are hard to select (i have to apply pressure to the handle and just wait till it pops in..)

basically, im sure its time for a rebuild, but i dont have money. is there something i can do, ie changing the fluid to help?

You can try bleeding the system. The fact that you have to pump the clutch means it has air in the lines. Bleed it and see how it works. Then you'll know the next step. As you suggested, change the fluid too.

Start with bleeding the clutch out and go from there .

sorry.. i think i chose the wrong word. the clutch works perfectly fine (i love the ls7/ls2 setup). i meant i have to let the clutch out and put it back in.. i should have said reengage, not pump.

does that change the advice any?

Default tranny

sounds to me like your slidders are worn out, the reverse is a common problem. slidders have two sides, you can turn your reverse slidder around and itll work again fine, the 3/4 slidder with most likely need to be replaced, i just fixed the reverse in one of my t-56s doing the same thing, and the 3/4 in my DD also just started doing the same thing.
