Default m6 swap is finished

just wanted to tell anyone thinking of doing a a4 to m6 swap its pretty simple and so worth the benefits cost me 1500 after selling my tranny and took me about 3 full days when i had the time off . i just drove my car for the first time with the m6 and it was SICK so much better of a feel i love my stalled auto but for the street m6 is the way to go auto is just boring. just wanted to tell anyone whos on the edge about doing it to just do it, this by far is the best mod i ever did.

I am thinking about doing it but i always heard that auto cars are faster and in the 1/4 mile it shows they are. also with this swap did you have to change your computer or what??

^^A stalled Auto is pretty much the way to go with drag racing, but for a street driver, I would take a Standard any day. You don't have to change the Computer, but you do have to get the Tune adjusted in it for the Speedometer, and the Auto stuff in the computer has to be turned off, and the T56 stuff turned on.

Nice man.. did you ever get that wiring issue figured out that you were PM'n me about..?
I can't wait to minish mine..

If anyone is interested I have a T56 that is about to be pulled out of my 02 Z06 and it is for sale...1K plus shipping but if you have a friend or are local to Tomball Tx which is just outside of Houston you could drive it first and wait for it to be pulled and placed right into your truck or car. Its a Pavlock Performance getting a new heart, trans and rear but nothing is pulled right now. Its a perfect unit with NO problems.

^^There has to be quite a few major things done to a Corvette T56 to get it to work with an F-body..almost not even worth it.

The Merv obviously knows more about this subject....Im no mechanic. I just thought that the gearing on the Z06s is what was sought after so much so I tossed it out on this forum to see if someone could use it. Im having a built MN6 put in due to its less agressive gearing which is needed due to my HP levels.
Check into it...As far as whats included...I only want the temp sensor on it....

The Gearing is a little different, that is how you will sell it too. If someone wants them Gears or needs a replacement for their Z06/C5, then you are good. It's a good upgrade for a C5 Vette, direct swap.

For an F-body, the Tail Shaft Housing needs to be changed, which involves pulling the Gears off of the Mainshaft, and I beleive the Imput shaft as well might be a different length, but I'm not sure about that.
