Default T56 synchro replacement

my 3rd to 4th synchro has been out for a few months now and with 67K without changing the tranny fluid and abuse its time to not only flush the tranny but also to fix the synchro and drop a new clutch.

Im in college right now so im on a budget but how much am i looking into dumping to just get the synchro fixed? I was thinking of unbolting the bastard and taking it to a shop saving some cash on the otherwize labor costs.

What should I expect?

Impossible to tell. it really has to be tore down & inspected.
It might/ prolly need more parts than just blocker rings.
The speed gears & syncro assemblies can get up there $$$$

In the long run, your cheapest, best bet is to just have it rebuilt right this go-round.

Check out our rebuild packages & prices for F-Bodies by clicking the link below:

if you brought ur tranny to a shop(out of the car) labor should be around 400 + parts..but who knows. Do it yourself. I did
