Question MGW shifter position question

With the MGW short shifter for the Fbodies, is it permanently swiveled to the side like that or can you turn it so that it is in line with the long side of the base? That kind of throws me off a little and makes me apprehensive to the purchase of it. It's between that or a Pro 5.0 so any feedback would be of great help. Thanks in advance.

Default

If it was in line with the car longways it would be really weird to shift I would think. I tried to adjust mine today but I couldnt budge the hex bolt.

It shifts REALLY well in the position that it comes from. I thought it would be weird too but its really firm and you know what you are doing.
