T56 bellhousing
This is probaly gonna be a stupid question, but it is a question none the less:
I'm a newbie on teh T56, so just be patient, as I have some questions:
I picked up a built T56 that came from a LT1, that I am putting behind my LS. Now, I know (well, I think I do) have to replace the midplate and teh input shaft. What about the Bellhousing? I mean, I do know that the LS based motors use 1 less bellhousing bolt than a standard SBC, but what about mounting depth? Does the input shaft take care of that? Or does the midplate? Why does the midplate have to be replaced? I would like to use a scattershield since the car is gonna see the track, so does Lakewood or Mcleod or anyone make one?
Thanks

Yes, it is a nice unit, but a little more than I wanted to spend right now on a bellhousing. I have been able to locate one (mcleod modualr) that is more up my alley.
Yes, the midplate and input shaft are being swapped over as well for LS compatibility.
