Default Need a new clutch

I just reached 43,000 miles and I still have my stock LS1 clutch, my car is a 2000 ws6. I feel it slipping more and more, recently it got much worse, probably from the additional power from bolt-ons and the racing I have been doing lately.

I plan on putting a cam in later on so I was wondering whats a good clutch for a car that will not be getting sprayed and not be over 500rwhp, It is essential that it is durable and will last 15k+ miles. The car will be taken to the track every so often about once everyother month.

Well, in a case like this, your BEST bet is to browse the manual tranny section, and you are gonna find a MILLION threads on this very question. That being said, I will go ahead and give my opinion and vote:

monster clutches

Go ahead and PM snlperformance (sponsor on teh site) and he will get you hooked up.

yeah I did a search buts its all people going for hardcore clutches for 500rwhp+

the stage 2 monster looks like it would be right for me, I was stuck between that and a spec 2+ but granted the reviews of the spec clutch brand in general, I think I will be going with the monster, can't beat the warranty and customer service they have from what I've heard.

A couple other companies to consider, Competiton Clutch, they are a sponsor.

Another one worth looking into ( not a sponsor ), South Bend clutch with thier DXD series of clutches.

Monster offers some good clutches, if you don't plan on making more than 460rwhp the LS7 kit is a nice option as well. No matter what, you ought to upgrade the hydraulics with a new slave and our Adjustable Master Cylinder kit. It'll guarantee 100% disengagement, which means quicker, smoother shifts, longer clutch life and longer transmission life.
