Tick bleeder line issue
I installed in dry and cranked on it and the sucker leaked.
Anyone else out there?
Thanks,
Glenn
Since then, we've went to a washer type seal with a shorter fitting. We couldn't order enough volume to keep making the custom fittings, and the shorter fitting should fix the sealing issue for anyone that is re-using an old slave.
As long as you put the washer between the slave and the fitting, you shouldn't be having any problems with the new style. Just let me know what you've got and we'll send you out another line if needed.

Ahhh ha, I see. I gotcha. With the washer there, I would not see the need for teh paste like I was suggesting. I was thinking it was straight pipe thread, and with that setup, you HAVE to use tape or paste. AN fittings no thread/paste. or inverted flare, no paste/tape either.
Jonathan,
I must have the older style than because the fitting is long and has the same tapered tip as the stock bleeder fitting and there was no washer.
The inside of the slave is clean for the most part and no debris. I used a black marker and inked up the tip of the bleeder line fitting and ran the fitting down and cranked on it, than I pulled it out and noticed that the contact patten from the ink was very small compared to the slightly worn in contact pattern of the stock bleeder fitting.
After comparing the angle of the head on the stock fitting and the bleeder line fitting, I noticed that the bleeder line has more angle than the stock fitting.
When would you be able to send out another line?
Thanks,
Glenn
