Ok boys.. I'm having a 3rd gear problem and i'm not sure what's to blame. 3rd gear will engage smoothly except at WOT. At WOT i cannot engage 3rd gear Powershifting.. At all. Other then that the gear engages fine, Doesn't pop out or cause me problems. What do you think the problem is? Shift Fork?

 

If your tranny isn't grinding or popping out of gear or getting stuck in any gear, then it is probably the hydraulics.

I used to have problems hitting 3rd gear. The drill mod and an adjustable master cylinder cured it for me.

I would try doing the drill mod and changing the fluid first, and go from there.

 

Changing the fluid solved a TON of problems for me. It was sticking in 4th, grinding in 3rd, bla bla bla... No more problems - Used Royal Purples Syncromesh Transmission Fluid.
