I had a stock hurst and it shifted nice but was pretty sloppy, maybe from years of abuse from previous owners? 6speeds inc told me it def contributed to my worn out syncros but who knows if that was bs or not. I switched to a pro5.0 and im not to impressed honestly and miss gears every so often with it. I think I'l try an mgw next, looks kinda odd to me but every one who has one raves about it.

I have driven a pro5.0 and hurst billet plus. Both are nice but I like the hurst billet better.

LOL.. I will, but it’ll only be on how it works while pretending to drive in my garage . Otherwise I'll have to wait until spring/early summer when I actually get my car up and running again.

I am replacing the stock shifter. So let’s hope it’s a lil’ better than that..

Also, there are reviews on the MGW on here, that's what helped me decide to go with it.

I just bought a MGW shifter myself as well. Hopefully I will be able to put it in soon and as long as it doesn't snow again, ill have a write-up soon.

There are at least 2 threads about the MGW shifter, I'm too lazy to post links though lol. One guy even posted a video. I just put one in my 01 TA and i like it but I can't compare it to any others.

Yeah it seems to be going that way... I'm still waiting for mine to come in. The Corvette, Viper, and Mustang have had it available to them for a lot longer. It's just new to us.

As of a day or so ago the price was $209.00 + $10.00 shipping

I love my Pro 5.0. My dad's B&M in his 04 GTO is a bitch, all clunky and notchy, but that also has to do with the shifter/transmission setup being different on those cars. I've personally always loved the feel of the stock Hurst; the throw is just a little bit long.

I've been using a Pro 5.0 with a UMI short stick for about three years, big improvement over the factory Hurst. It's a great shifter but I'm getting sick of the noise and how notchy it feels and am seriously thinking about going with an MGW.

Won't regret it. My MGW is making some noise but i can see where the RTV didn't seal because of placement error on my part. Quiet otherwise.
