pilot bushing install help

How far back should this go into the crank when I beat it in? The reason I ask is because the bushing is almost completely parallel with the surface of the crank , but when I stick my finger in the hole it feels like it has a little bit more room to go back. Is it fine where it is at? I do not want to damage the bushing too much more by trying to force it in any further.

It seems like it would be fine since I doubt the spline was meant to go any further than that, but could anyone verify?

flush with end of crank

reason there is space behind bearing is so removal tool can get in there
