Default very light clutch pedel

I tried using search but our wonderfull search engine works so well . Anyway, over the winter I put a new texstralia in the car. I went to take it for a test drive yesturday and noticed the the clutch pedal was extremely light. The car goes into gear fine but it chatters like a son of a bitch. Its a new slave and me a freind bled it what we though was enough to get he air out. Anyway, could improper bleeding cause this very very very light pedel feel? I never got out of the driveway cuz the chatter was so bad and together with the feel of the clutch I figured that something was wrong.

The Textralia clutch has a basically stock (ie VERY light) pedal feel. If you've been driving any other aftermarket clutch, even something as light as a Spec 2, the Tex will still feel so light you'd think it's broken. When compared side by side to my Spec 2 and then my dad's bone stock 04 GTO, the Tex was actually slightly lighter than the GTO stocker (just barely with a more positive feel) and the Spec 2 felt HEAVY. When compared with a Spec 3 or higher, RAM HD, or just about any other aftermarket clutch, you'll honestly think the Tex is broken.

I thought the clutch system was self-bleeding... please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Im pretty sure its not self bleeding, hence the need for a bleeder screw on the top of the tranny.

Ok i pretty much eliminated the hydrolics as the cause. What else could cause this super light clutch pedel feel. Also, I am going to venture and say that the clutch is not engaging 100%. I have a feeling its all related.

I have heard, but not sure, that if you have your car running in neutral and slowly build your revs up, and if it starts creeping forward that it is not fully disengaging. Also i have seen spacers used to push the slave forward, maybe this will help your problem. I am no expert but these are all things I think you may want to look more into. Good luck with your car, I hope you figure it out soon.

Hey i just put a new stage 3 tdp clutch in my car suspost to be real familar with the tex, and i was running a spec stage 2 clutch... After i got in my car to push the pedal i just knew something was wrong pedal was so soft and felt like there was no pedal there at all! I was like wtf.... but took it to the track this past weekend and cut my new best et and 60 ft... 1/8 mile et 7.02 with a 1.4 60 and with the spec 2 it was 7.5 with a 1.5 60... so i know its there, and i never missed a gear, also went into every gear perfect! But it just annoys me that stiff pedal feel isnt there anymore!

With the Tick Perf. Master and a Tex Oz700, when it is cold the pedal is def firmer then stock, I'd say hard, when it warms up or if it just warm, it feels just like stock.

You need to rebleed, and make sure there is fluid in the resivor.

I have bled it 3 times...once with a mityvac sending a over a pint throught the system. Since the system moves 10 ml of fluid everytime you depress the pedel and i went though about 500ml of fluid and there are no bubbles coming out when using the mityvac, i doubt very much that I have a hydrolic issue. The car shifts fine and does not grind at all. And even Textralia said that the pedel should be very light. Like i said in my previous post. Im gonna shift it at WOT and try to get it to slip. If she holds and doesnt grind im not gonna complain.
