Default LS6 Clutch Replacement

I did some searching and the whole subject is messed up...

My car 'supposively' came with an LS6 clutch but people are saying it's not a 'real' LS6 clutch.. I want to replace the clutch with a new LS6 clutch and wondered if I need the kit or can just get the pressure plate, clutch, throwout bearing all seperate.

?? Anyone know?

I know a bunch of you guys have LS7, Spec, blah blah clutches...I drive 500+ miles a week and don't need a hard clutch to deal with so i am trying to stay with something that was as smooth as the stock one.

In addtion... just started losing fluid from the resevoir and I have it on the ground under the car...does that sound like the slave cylinder or master cylinder?

Get the LS7 setup. After it is broke in, it engages like stock

As far as the fluid on the ground, more than likely it is the slave. Oh, yeah, and it feels like stock (LS7)!

That you was thinking the same thing, from what i've seen the throwout bearing is part of that?

LS7 feels completely different than stock, my CETA has an LS7 and my brothers stock LS6 feels entirely different.

Mine felt stock but I guess every car is different

And yes the throw out bearing is part of the slave cylinder.

i had an ls6 clutch in my 98 and an ls7 in my 02, they feel about the same, at first the ls7 was close to the floor but after breaking it in the engagement was higher. it feels close to the same if not the same.
