I have a 2000 camaro SS with a cam , 4.10 gears ,headers, custom tune and other stuff i will be installing a 100 to 125 shot of nitrous when its gets warm the car is a weekend car that rarely sees the track but i do street race i live in Detroit (I MEAN REALLY IN DETROIT NOT THE SUBURBS OR NORTH OF 8 MILE LIKE EMINEM)i just recently ordered a monster stage 3 clutch with 28lb billet steel flywheel but they also sell a 15lb chromemoly flywheel , i was wondering should i keep the billet steel flywheel or should i send it back and get the chromemoly piece and also how much does the an aluminum flywheel weigh?

Lots of people don't like the aluminum flywheels on street cars. Takes some of that low-engine-speed pull out of the motor, but it is lighter and that has its benefits. I'd stay with steel IMHO

alum flywheel is def tricky to drive in traffic. while i think my experiences are compounded by the stg 4 clutch (no sprung center section), i definatly still feel it, even after the clutch engages.
the engine DOES rev fast. break the tires loose and SNAP its at redline.
my fidanza alum flywheel weights 13lbs....so the chromoly wouldn't be much different compared to a 28lb steel.
