Default Convert a4 to m6 reflash

I have converted from a4 to m6 and Having trouble getting the ecm flashed. My local dealer says they can not do it. They need a blank module and a m6 VIN#. Can anyone give me an idea of what to have them do? Thanks in advance.

What software are they using?
I have LS1Edit and the guys at Carputing helped me sending the right program.
No problems going from A4 to M6 (and back, if I want!) but the program has to be be the right one.

I just finished my swap and my tuner just changed it to where the speedo would work and turned off all the auto stuff so it wouldn't throw any codes. As for writing entire he didn't do that. I'm guessing its not really needed.

Anybody that can tune can tune it to make it work.

Probably better off having a local tuner do it. The dealer wants to re-flash w/ a stock M6 tune. All you need is the auto changed to the m6. Post in the tuning section & ask for a local member in your area. Am sure that someone on here who is local to you (w/HP tuners) will help. You could also do a mail order & just have them do the ms6 part.

Things like neutral switch, clutch switch, VSS & one or two others will either have to be confirmed or turned off, based on how you did the swap. So, this information is important to the tuner. Good-luck

my opinion: you need to change the complete program.
There are enough hiddden settings that change from A4 to M6... not just speedo and obvious things like shift points or so.
You don't need to change the VIN. You even can go to a GM dealer and let them load a M6 program keeping the original VIN using TECH2. If they don't know how let me know because there's a trick

Id get a stock file reflash, then take to tuner for any engine adjustments. That will cover all the bases.
