Ever since I bought the car used about 11 months ago I've noticed that I feel something hit the floorboard when shifting going WOT. Just recently I had a spec stage 3 clutch installed and notice it alot more even in just shifting from 1st to 2nd at say 3k rpms. It feels like its coming from the transmission... could this be my tranny mounts going bad?

Thanks for the reply turbo
One thing I noticed just 30 minutes ago while driving is that I feel a clunk happen right as I push the clutch pedal down after taking off from 1st only... is this another problem or could this still be from the tranny mount?

It could also be a loose tranny mount bolt, or even a loose cross member bolt.
When it clunks, does your shifter jump around? If it does, it's probably a torn tranny mount. If it doesn't (or not much anyway), it's probably a loose bolt.

I too noticed this thump/thunk in the 1-2 shift when I installed my spohn tq arm and I still don't know what it is because I took it out and it stops. I think the tq arm just magnifies all the little noises from the rear end and tranny

Ok so I changed the tranny mount to a polyeurothingamabob mount and it feels MUCH better and I have actually gotten to like the feel of the exhaust pulses coming from the mount now too.
But now at idle everyone once in a while I hear a small squeal in-sequence with the lope of the cam... Just to make sure I retorqed everything on the mount tonight and still noticed that same squeal. Is this a normal squeal with a poly mount?
