Question Flywheel question

OK, I'm in the process of building a new motor (427 sleeved al block), and might spray it lightlt (100-150) in the future... I was debating putting a new flywheel on the car at the time. Current flywheel only has about 12K miles on it, but is on it's 3rd clutch (one z06 which I dumped quickly), one spec 3 which wore out prematurely, and a 3rd spec 3 which is holding up well. So the question is do you guys think I should put a new flywheel on the car, and if so, aluminum (if so which one, fidanza or spec) or steel. The car is a daily driver at this point, see's some straight line performance comparison, but is definately not a drag only car. Opinions would be greatly apreciated.

I just received a Luk pro gold clutch which comes with a aluiminum flywheel. I think it's a fidanza but i'm not sure and i'm trying to find this out,but anyway i hope to install this one day this week then hit the track next sunday so i will post some more info for you after it's all installed and tell you what i think.

From what I understand the steel flywheel has the greater rotating mass which makes it easier for our cars to launch. The aluminum one will make it harder to launch due to it having less rotational mass but should give you some hp once you are moving. Plus the aluminum one might require more slipping of the clutch to get moving which may cause more wear. I vote for the steel one myself for a daily driver.
