Default reverse lockout gone bad?

I've got 160,000 miles on my stock T56 in my '97 SS. It have never given me any shifting problems whatsoever during that time. Well yesterday when I was driving, I went to put it in reverse like I always do and it went into 5th. I then realized that I have to push the shifter to the right like three times harder than I ever had to before to get it to go all the way to the right and go into reverse. It doesn't grind when going into reverse at all, goes right in, doesn't pop out of gear, I just have to push hard to the right to get it to slide in. Could this be a bad reverse lockout solenoid?

Its actually pretty hard to go into reverse with the lockout engaged. Chances are the solenoid might be bad. Check the connection to the solenoid as well.

Check the fuse on that circuit.

Hit the nail on the head. Turns out my ENG SEN fuse in the under hood fuse block was blown. Put a new one in and reverse works perfect now. Also my car is running better.
