Default Help with cylinder issues I THINK..

Alright, about a month ago my clutch pedal lost the hydraulic feel to it, it would go down way to easy and such so I checked the fluid and it was almost empty, thought nothing of it though so I filled it up and it was all good to go. Now just this week it was doing it AGAIN, I checked the fluid and its empty, filled it and it's alright for now. I'm guessing this is either the master or slave cyl leaking.. but im not sure how to find out what one it is and if that is indeed the problem. I can sit there and pump the clutch for 10minutes and the fluid level remains the same, it seems to take about a month for it to leak out so its a small leak wherever it is. Problem is, im about to do a camswap and im guessing the extra power from that will cause bigger problems with the leakage.. so I wanna figure out what it is and fix it before hand or at least know what it is so when the clutch goes ill just get a ls7 setup. Any ideas on how to tell where this leak is coming from or any advice? Thanks

Check the slit at the bottom of the bell housing. If it is weeping it's probably the slave. Problem is a month is a long time and if you can't find any fluid, it could be coming from anywhere.

Yea thats the problem, I cant find any leaks because the amount of liquid that has to leak out in a months time is so small its almost impossible lol.

Well, it is brake fluid and that's some nasty stuff. Maybe look along the firewall, (use a mirror) and see if the paint is bubbling anywhere.

One more thought. Unhook the slave line and put a MityVac in the master. Pump it up to a few pounds and see if any bubbles come up. If they keep coming, it might be the master (leak can work both ways). If no bubbles come up, it's probably the slave.

Good luck
