Inconsistent Clutch - Help please! I swapped an '01 LS1 w/T56 into my 1993 RX-7. New clutch master. Bled the clutch a billion times, but somehow, I have inconsistent clutch feel.
Sometimes, the clutch will have zero engagement. The pedal will engage barely a centimeter off the floor. Other times, it will engage all the way out, like it should. Then, it seems like if I pump the pedal, I can get back the lost pedal distance.
Other times when this happens, after driving for 20 minutes or so, the clutch is back to normal operation.
What the heck is wrong with it? I have ZERO fluid leaking, new stainless lines, new master, etc. I don't have a new slave, but could it be just more air in the system? What would cause such inconsistencies in the pedal travel?
