grinding lately?

Default grinding lately?

my car seems to be grinding more often going into second and ocasionally going into other gears, its always grinded once in awhile going to second, but it seems like its happening more often, it has a factor ls6 clutch, with just bolt ons on an 02 ls1. bad clutch?

It is possible that your clutch and hydraulics are getting tired.

well, i went to the track a couple weeks ago and i checked it before i went and it looked horrible, i didnt have time to change it all, so i just sucked out what i could and filled it back up, im not sure how to properly bleed it etc, also what should i use? for high temp. I didnt let any air get into the sytem (didnt touch the clutch pedal while the resivoure was open)

That's good if you cleaned the fluid.

You might still need to bleed the hydraulics.

I changed the fluid today, but havent bled it yet, where is the bleeder at?

Burried on the tranny about an 1 1/2" directly above the clutch line.

bleeder is easy to get to.... well when the tranny is on the floor like mine is.. lol

where the master cylinder line connects to the slave in the tranny, the bleeder is right above that. Not sure what size it is or how hard it is to get to while in the car as i havnt installed my tranny yet...

probably about the same... a pain in the *** as is everthing!!as long as you can fit a 1/4 drive socket up there you should be able to bleed it...

I would keep trying to bleed it to see if it helps. Always nice to have Tick's speed bleeder line. I would consider it worth its wait in GOLD! LOL! Did you get new hydraulics when you did the swap? Alot of problems come from our hydraulics, whether it be faulty components or not enough bleeding.

I didnt do the swap, previous owner did, he was very precise on things though, ill look up the ticks speed bleeder. would the drill mod help?

also could i use abs brake fluid? has a higher boiling temp.

DRILL MOD!

Great thing to do, i wouldnt install a master w/out it. Between that and having good clean fluid in there it should make a big difference. Try finding fluid with higher temps. That should help some too.

if you drain and replace your tranny fluid...do you have to bleed the clutch?

about 40k, i sucked out the clutch fluid using a seringe twice, the grinding seems to have completely gone away.
