mgw shifter!!!

mgw shifter!!! i just ordered a mgw shifter yesterday! i currently have a pro 5.0 i dont like the 2nd to 3rd gear shift! anyone one out there ever compare the two shifters? any opinions welcome! thanks,scott
I went to the mgw from a pro 5.0. Like you, I didn't like the 2-3 shift. The mgw is a very nice shifter and I'm completely satisfied with it. I've gotten good enough now to power shift the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. The stiffer centering spring really helped me. Only bad thing I can say about it is reverse can be a bitch to get into at times. It could be my transmission though cause it wasn't exactly easy with the 5.0 either. Also, the customer service was outstanding at mgw. One piece of advice I'll give you is to take your time and get a feel for the new shifter. Work your way up to shifting fast. It has a slightly different feel to it than the pro 5.0.

mgw thanks for your advice i appreiciate it!! yea 2nd to 3rd with the pro 5.0 is horrible in my opinion, i dont think its my trans its a new level 4 from rpm , shifts really good except the 2nd to 3rd shift at race rpms , cant wait to get it should be here tuesday!
i missed my first 2nd to 3rd shift today with my mgw 
i cant speak on behalf of the 5.0 because i never had one. but the mgw is a great piece. maybe it was the huge pistol grip i put on today that makes you wanna rip the whole tranny off feel like king kong while doing it lol
