M12 shiftiing a reverse issues! PLEASE HELP ok so here is the story!
i have a 402 that makes right at 500 hp 480 trq its in a 2002 chevy camaro! A while back the clutch got covered in oil and i took all apart a cleaned.
the clutch is a x grip texatraila about 7000 miles on it. Ok before i had the oil leak i was having issues with clutch grabbing bad and not shifting at high rpms at all ... Almost like it was locked into place . I was told to try ticks slave with i did and still same thing grabs bad and will not shift at all at high rpms. I have bleed and bleed and luck . I am also smelling clutch disk when i do try to shift it at higher rpms.
should i just order a new clutch .... If so witch type can i reuse tex pressure plate or should go with whole new one?
i would really like to say i just could shim slave and it would be ok but i am sure the oil soaking didnt help and it has all new hydro .. I mean what else would make it shift so hard or drag beside a worn clutch or not shimmed right! I dont want to shim it just to have to replace it because of the oil.
also when all this happen i picked up a bad vibration some where ?
anyhelp would rock.....
what clutch would u all reccomend for trouble free install with no shimming and ticks new master cylinder!
would a bent fork cause all this ? The m12 is new 6000 or so miles on it?

Based on the information given ... it sort of leads one to believe that your problems might be clutch related.
With most aftermarket clutches, it's a good idea to measure to see what and if a shim is needed.
If your clutch had oil all over it, that can't be a good thing. If I was dropping the trans, I would have replaced it.
The Textralia is a popular clutch, however there a other great clutches on the market too... Diamond, Monster, Spec3+ to name a few.
The MN12 trans you have is a nice trans, I have one and love it. I myself prefer the OEM LS7 clutch and Tick but I'm not at the horse power level you are. I also don't launch hard or drag race.
