any strip tips?
any strip tips? anyone got any tips for launching/shifting/not losing at the strip? im goin tomorrow with about 8 other people to the local 1/8th track and the last time i went i didnt do so great (spun through first, spun most of second, lack of drill mod killed me). my biggest fault is launching. whats a good launch rpm? tire psi? and how can i avoid the dreaded "sticking clutch pedal" after my 1-2 shift? any tips would be appreciated. thanks.
and if it helps any my only mods are a hooker catback and a short throw. now im wishing i had put my LTs and ls6 intake on.

With street tires the only way I could launch mine was to take it to 2,500 and slip it out of the hole. You try and drop the clutch and the tires will fry. I used to pull 1.72-1.80 60fts. Of course there were the 2.0-2.2 60s that I don't like to talk about.
