Trans downshifting/misc issue
A little background, about 9 months ago I put an LS7 clutch setup in it with a new pressure plate, slave cylinder, pilot bearing, and master cylinder. I also did the drill mod when installed. Everything has been fine since then. The shifter is a B&M Ripper that has been installed for years.
Since the night at the track I have noticed a few issues:
- Increased 'whirring' sound through shifter in 5th
- Strange vibration in 6th from 70-80mph (had tires balanced the other week and the left rear is 'slightly' out of round possibly causing this?)
- While going down the road, if I push the clutch in and try to put in lower gears (1st, 3rd, etc) it is difficult to get it in and when it does go in, engine RPMS change
I have tried bleeding again with the mityvac, but had no luck. Jacked it up tonight to see if anything looked broken on the trans and it looks fine.
I don't know if this seems like something is broke, or a bleeding issues, but I am looking for any thoughts on this to figure out where to go next. Thanks!
Its like the clutch isn't fully disengaged, but it only happens when going down the road. At a stand still or on jack stands, it won't even move the tires with the clutch pedal in...
If it was a fork issue, shouldn't it be trying to pop out of gear??
It seems unlikely that the wheel hop, etc could have damaged the trans too, but with my luck lately, I dunno...
