What Shim?

Clutch grabs 1/2" off the floor??? Update on post 6!
Ok, so I've read the shim sticky, and I'm wondering what shim it is referring too? The one that goes between the slave and the trans? Or the one that goes between the TOB and the Slave?
This is my 2nd spec 3 and the only shim they ever gave my was to go behind the slave against the Trans. It is installed and things feel different, like it's not touching the fingers until halfway down. Yes the system is bled, almost went thru the whole bottle!

So 8 people have looked at this and nobody knows??? Whenever I took my TOB off the slave there was a thin shim between the two. In the clutch install write-up it shows that shim plus 3 other supplied by McCleod. Is this the shim that's talked about in the Shim sticky? It's a spec 3 going in, and I DO have the big round shim installed behind the slave! The clutch just feels like it's easy to push down till about half way then it feels like it use too, with a little more resistance. Then when I release it, it feels like it drags about half way up! Watcha think?

Yes the pedal is soft half way then normal feeling the rest of the way. It comes back up all the way by itself, but feels like it's dragging right in the middle. I haven't drove it yet, but I might try it out today. Also the MC sounds like it's squeeking when I start to push the clutch in, normal?

Ok, so I got the chance to start it up today. It doesn't want to go into gear easil, I'll go from 4th to 1st to get it in, and when I let out the clutch in 1st it grabs imediately off the floor, like within a 1/2". I'm guessing I need to add another shim behind the slave? This week, I'm gonna pull it out and take measurements again!
