What the heck!?
What the heck!? Hey all im new to forum, i just purchased a 2000ss m6, and i am experiencing some issues with it already. When shifting from 2nd to 3rd it pops out of gear about 75% of the time, its so frustrating, i just want to sell my new ls1 and say they are piece of crap, but i know their not. what way can this be fixed, i saw another thread with a guy who had the same problem but nothing was really said on what it was. it also pops out of reverse at times too. Ill be gettin on it, ready to chirp them in 3rd gear but just a high rpm rev comes after shifting and im stuck in neutral and have to shift to third several times before it goes in, it keeps on popping back out.

Mine used to do that sometimes. Could be you just dont get it into 3rd all the way and it jumps out. OR... it could be that the teeth are worn off the 3-4 slider and it jumps out when you go for 3rd. It could also be a synchro, because they can make it jump out of gear. Sounds like the guy that had your car before you drove the **** out of it. But then again... I think every LS1 has had the **** drove out of it. Check those things and I think you will find your problem.

It is prolly going to take a trans overhaul/rebuild to fix this unfortunetly.
As said B-4 someone beat the $h!t out of the trans most likely.
Good time to get new hydraulics & maybe a clutch??
