Question RAM VDS users inside

I rescently installed this clutch and like it alot but my question is what Master Cyl. Have you used? I was wondering if the RAM Adjustable Master has held up being that its only a Modified LS6 unit and how do you like it if you have it. I have a McLeod and have nothing but problems w/ it since the install. i've bench bleed the thing multiple times already where there is no air in the system. Install it and the pedal is great for a little while then it seems to get a soft spot. You can pump it up a few times and the the pressure comes rigth back up to perfect. The car drives fine and has no engaging problems but its sort of a pain in the *** to have to pump the pedal a few times before you drive it. I've read everything about bleeding them and tried everything but nothing seems to be working so i was going to maybe try the RAM Master Cyl. unit and see if that does any better. Also installed a new '288' Slave when the clutch went in. Thanks for the any insite

I had the Ram Master and it worked alright until I stripped the screw on it. I was having the same problems you described thogh. Then I bought the Mcleod unit and it did the same thing. I brought it to a shop (Eastside) and they reverse bled the system with a vacuum or something (the process is posted at some places) and I havent had the problem since. I dont think you can bench bleed these cars and I know you dont think you have air in the system but I think you do.

Maybe from a leak somewhere?

IMO, the reverse method seems to work best, from talking to my customers and installers.

well nothing seems to work on this McLeod. i'm begining to think its bad. Tried bleeding all the air out by pulling fluid up from the breaded line and out through the resivoir. you would keep getting air. tried this many times but each time you push in the pedal air the same size bubble would come out and you never get a stiff pedal. hook it all back up and it will get stiff them push it once then its back to 2"+/- of travel. Guess i'll have to take it to some shop and pay to have my damn cluch bleed everytime i disconect the thing.
